Pablo Carre�o has withdrawn from the individual team of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and his place will be occupied Pedro Martínez Goalkeeper as confirmed this Sunday by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The Asturian does remain in the competition doublewhere he will form a couple with Marcel Granollers just as planned.

The 32-year-old tennis player, bronze in Tokyo 2021, achieved his place for the Games through his protected ranking after returning to competition in after seven months away from the slopes due to back surgery.

Carre�o resigned from playing Wimbledon just a week ago because of thea centimeter-long muscle tear in the adductor of his right leg, injury that has led him to decide to limit his participation in the Games to the doubles event.
