The The Spanish Federation confirmed a week ago the tennis players who would make up the Spanish team in Paris.

And for the doubles competition, the dates of Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, as well as Sara Sorribes and Cristina Bucsa, were already confirmed. It remained to be determined who would accompany Granollers, world number 2 in doubles. The candidates were Carreño or Alejandro Davidovich. The final choice has been that of the one who was Olympic bronze in Tokyo.

The last time Carreo and Granollers played together was in November 2021 in the Davis Cup against Ecuador because Feliciano Lpez was unwell and gave his place to the Asturian.
