British Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he is “horrified by the atrocious attack” on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg which killed at least two on Friday evening.

“My thoughts are with the victims, their families and all those affected,” Starmer wrote on social media platform X.

“We stand with the people of Germany.”

At least two people were killed, including a small child, and 60 injured after a man drove a car into a Christmas market in Magdeburg, to the west of Berlin, authorities said.
