TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – While a stray shower or two is possible along the coast this morning, most of the rain today develops in the afternoon and evening. The storms drift toward the Gulf of Mexico around sunset.

Humidity remains high, so afternoon highs in the low 90s will feel more like 102-108.

The rain chance is back at 60% tomorrow afternoon and evening with almost all the storms expected later in the day.

Fewer downpours develop Wednesday and Thursday, and it stays humid. Watch for a few earlier showers Wednesday, but the overall coverage remains limited.

Long rain forecasts depend on what happens in the tropics. One tropical wave has a 50% chance of developing, but the computer models are not strengthening the system much. We will continue to monitor the situation.
