(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Arctic cold remains in place tonight, dropping temps into the teens–even single digits–for most of the region.

Fortunately, we don’t have as much of a breeze tonight. Still watch out for possible slick spots that didn’t dry up if you’re out driving and walking around.

Thursday brings more clouds as a dry cold front approaches. Finally, more temperatures will climb out of the frozen zone and creep up closer to 40 degrees in the afternoon. The moderating trend will continue through the weekend and into next week, too. By Sunday, highs are back up around 50 degrees.

We’ll likely be a bit cooler again on Monday with some rain moving in, but by the middle of next week, we could be showing the 60s on the temperature map!

Tonight: Mostly clear and frigid. Low 16.

Thursday: More clouds. High 38.
