Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Tuesday.
“All Israeli civilians are in bomb shelters as rockets from Iran are fired at Israel,” it wrote on X.
A dpa correspondent reported loud explosions in Tel Aviv. The Iranian news agencies ISNA and Tasnim also reported the start of the attack.
Earlier, the US government had warned of an “imminent” Iranian attack on Israel, cautioning that such a direct strike could have severe consequences for Tehran.
