MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The blast of arctic air WREG has been advertising has set in across the Mid-South as of Sunday morning.

We started the day off with a light dusting of snow and temperatures in the 20s.

Highs this afternoon will struggle to break out of the upper 20s and will remain below freezing. We’re starting the day with overcast but will see decreasing clouds this afternoon.

Wind chills Monday morning will drop to the single digits and a cold weather advisory is in effect, so please bundle up on the way to school or work.

WREG Memphis Area Weather

Highs Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 20s with overnight lows in the teens.

That will put us at three consecutive days below freezing.

Temperatures will start to warm up during the second half of the work week and will be closer to normal by next weekend.

We’ll be mostly dry over the next week other than a few flurries this morning and in spots on Tuesday.
