French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “deeply shocked” by Friday’s suspected attack with a car on a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany that left two dead and scores injured.

“Deeply shocked by the horror that struck the Magdeburg Christmas market in Germany this evening,” he posted on X.

“My thoughts are with the victims, the injured, and their loved ones and families. France shares the pain of the German people and expresses its full solidarity.”
