Four Israeli soldiers have been killed in the north of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military reported on Tuesday.
The dead soldiers were non-commissioned officers aged 20 and 21, it said.
Israeli media reports said they were killed when an antitank weapon fired by Palestinian forces struck a building where they were sheltering in the Jabalia refugee camp to the north of Gaza City.
According to the IDF, 787 Israeli soldiers have been killed since Israel moved into the Gaza Strip following the October 7, 2023 attacks mounted on southern Israel by the Hamas movement and other extremists.
The Hamas-controlled health authority in the region reports that more than 43,600 Palestinians have since been killed and a further 103,000 injured. The information does not distinguish between combatants and civilians.
