(FOX40.COM) — A man was stopped from potentially fleeing with a minor to Mexico on Wednesday in Citrus Heights, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department.
Miguel Torres, 35, was arrested by detectives while he was attempting to pick up a 15-year-old girl that had a restraining order against him.

Along with the restraining order Torres was charged for the sexual assault of a minor in Kern County and was to appear in a Kern County court on Thursday.
In a news release on Wednesday, the Citrus Heights Police Department said they would help make sure that Torres appears in court.
