BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Police Department is holding a press conference at 5 p.m. Friday to discuss a homicide investigation at the Monarch Ridge Apartments.
On Tuesday, officers were dispatched after 10:30 p.m. and found Asia Alyce Poole, 21, shot to death in the 2900 block of Gallant Drive. A second victim was also located on the scene and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation between several people, including the victims. No arrests have been made at this time.
