At least 17 people, including women and children, were killed when two Israeli missiles struck a house in the city of Beit Lahia, according to Palestinian reports on Monday.

The Hamas-controlled civil defence force said the attack left the building destroyed. The information has not yet been independently verified, and the Israeli military has not commented on the incident.

Separately, 72 people are reported to have been killed on Sunday in Beit Lahia in an Israeli airstrike on a five-storey residential building. This claim also remains unverified, with no response from the Israeli military.
