PAmpas, who beat the two-time champion Peñarol, and Dogos, winner of Yacaré XV, closed an Argentine final in the Super Rugby Americas 2024 after the semifinals.
The double day began with Pampas’ victory over Peñarol, in a match in which Peñarol came out from the opening minute to try to add points and had its reward after 4 minutes when Manuel Diana landed in the goal. But Pampas quickly adjusted things and started playing to go into halftime leading 22-10 and consummating the victory with the final score of 50-27.
The second round left us with a tie in regulation time between Dogos XV and Yacare XV in the 80 minutes. The Dogos won the game in extra time, at first difference, with a successful hit by Juan Bautista Baronio.
