The third edition of the Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand is prepared for a total of 144 players from all over Europe, and with a high contingent of Spaniards (47), to fight from this Thursday until Saturday, for victory on the Aravell field in a 54-hole tournament with a cut of 40 golfers after the first two rounds.
A special tournament because it coincides with the 25 years of creation of the course, Designed by double Masters champion, Jose Maria Olaz�bal. A course of 6,155 meters, par 71.
The competition completed the list of participants this Monday after holding a preview in which the top 20 classified They won the ticket for a tournament that distributes 40,000 euros in prizes, with a check for 5,800 for the champion and who will also take 6,525 points from the Order of Merit, in search of one of the first five places that give access to the Challenge Tour.
In the Aravell tournament, participation will be a real luxury since the 10 best of the Order of Merit will take part with the exception of Maximilian Steinlechner, who occupies tenth place, led by the young Frenchman Theo Boulet. 21 nationalities will be represented among the 144 players scheduled to start this Thursday.
Of note is the presence for the second consecutive year of Juan Postigo, who reached third place in the world in the Adapted Golf ranking. with his double victory in the European Adaptive Golf Championship in 2021 and his important triumph in Abu Dhabi, in 2023. In addition to Postigo, some veterans of the DP World Tour and winner of the Challenge Tour will take part, such as Barcelona’s lvaro Velasco, and with experience in the first European circuit such as Pep Angles, Pol Bech or Emilio Cuartero, and young professionals such as Jordi Panes, Eduardo Rousaud or Victor García-Broto, winner of the Alps Grand Final 2021. The tournament will not lack the presence of Andorran professionals such as Kevin Esteve, Eudald Taule, and amateurs Ricky Morat and Eric Galimany.
