Anticipation is running high that Tesla will be revealing a new vehicle to be added to its growing product lineup. But if an image of some really small, yellow thing is the new Tesla, the EV will be tiny and funky, although probably not as much as the Cybertruck. Still, we have so many questions.

The image, which has been shared on social media, Reddit, and elsewhere, was allegedly taken on the Warner Bros lot by a Warner Bros employee – at least that’s the story being told. We know automakers sometimes “leak” stuff out there to create a buzz and Tesla absolutely would do such a thing.
We also can tell the yellow on the vehicle is a loose wrap and can almost guarantee there are prosthetic parts added to it under the wrap – something automakers do to hide the shape of a prototype so journalists and even regular people can’t tell too much about the final product.
In this case, the little car has almost a pickup truck-like shape with something like a bed in the back. But that might all just be trickery, because we don’t think Tesla is adding a compact truck to its lineup, at least not yet.
The headlights are the dead giveaway the vehicle is a Tesla, while the rest of what we can see reveals there are only two doors and a really short wheelbase. Whatever the thing is, it’s not going to be a large or even midsize EV.
Some believe this is the much-anticipated robotaxi, a concept that’s been tossed around by Elon Musk for years. Others think it’s the more affordable, entry-level Tesla that’s also been talked about for some time.
But it’s possible those two vehicles use the same platform, so it might be both. Or it could be a Ford Maverick competitor – we’ll see on that. Supposedly this thing, whatever it is, will be revealed on October 10, so we apparently don’t have long to wait for details.
