The Dominican Republic will play against Croatia and lGiannis Antetokounmpo’s Greece will do so against Luka Doncic’s Slovenia on Saturday in the semifinals of the pre-Olympic tournament in Piraeus (Greece).
The Slovenia team, led by Luka Doncic, who scored 36 pointss, secured their place in the semifinals with a clear victory against New Zealand by 78-104 to forget the defeat in their debut on Tuesday against the Croatians by 92-108.
SLOVENIA, NEARLY
With this victory, the Slovenian team is placed in the second position in Group A and advances to the semifinals of the pre-Olympic thanks to the victory by more than 10 points against the New Zealanders.
Slovenia was ahead at all times, although the result at half-time (39-46) classified New Zealand, but Doncic’s spectacular performance in the last two quarters took his team to the next phase.
