LThe gold category, the main one of the championship, had the couple formed by Sergio Díaz and Araceli Guerrero as winners in a final that they dominated from start to finish and that they played against the couple formed by Marisa Moreno and Sergio Rojo, who despite trying, could not with the exquisite technique of the champions.
Once the matches of the three finals were concluded, the equipment items were drawn among the participants, as well as the medals were awarded to the couples classified in second and third position in each category, as the presentation of the trophies to the winners.
In addition to sports, as the participants recognized at the end of the awards ceremony, the 1st Aldead�vila Pickleball Tournament fulfilled its main goal of promoting Aldead�vila and Las Arribes del Duero, so the success of the event was complete.
The mayor, Florentino García, gave a “positive” assessment of the tournament and mainly highlighted the latter: “During a weekend we have filled the hotels and we have full rural houses and restaurants. I think that is important for Aldead�vila. In addition, there is one thing that can also be highlighted for me, and that is that they have come to participate from many places in Spain, from many provinces, and that undoubtedly favors us in the face of the tourism. We have wonderful places. They have taken a boat trip, they have taken a guided tour, they have gone to the rocky park, they have seen all the tourist potential that the town has.”
Likewise, the councilor highlighted the figure of Juanjo Hergueta, organizer of the tournament along with his partner, Ana: “He has done a commendable job, he has fought tooth and nail to make this happen. I also want to thank Radio Marca (To the Limit) now Spain Moves for the dissemination of the event.” Fernando Soria, responsible for the Al L�mite program and EsM, competed alongside Tania Flores, president of the Pickleball Association of the Basque Country.
