Carlos Alcaraz continues working on his setup for Wimbledon (July 1 to 14). Within that preparation process was his participation in the Queen’s Open 500, which ended on Thursday with a loss in the round of 16 against Jack Draper.

Alcaraz, current grass champion, will be the first to step onto the grass of the All England Club this weekend. He will do so accompanied by Samuel López, the coach who replaced Juan Carlos Ferrero the week of Queen’s, a situation that already occurred last year.

It will be this Monday, June 24, as MARCA has learned, when Ferrero travels to London to finalize his pupil’s preparation for Wimbledon. The option of playing an exhibition match is still on the table.

It is worth remembering that last year he had to be absent from the two exhibition duels in Hurlingham due to discomfort in the abductor of his right leg after his time at Queen’s.

Nine days in a row training

Carlitos has spent nine consecutive days training since his return from vacation in Ibiza to accelerate his adaptation to the grass that he barely steps on twice a year.
