THIS EVENING: Mostly Cloudy, Frigid. Hi 17.
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy, Bitter Cold. Lo -1.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly Sunny, Clouds Late. Hi 16.
Arctic, frigid air has settled in across Central PA early this week, and with the fresh snowpack from Sunday, temperatures have plummeted overnight and will continue to do so at night through the rest of the week. Lows this morning have reached sub-zero levels for many backyards. Highs today will be in the teens as clouds roll in. Winds won’t be much of a factor over the next several days, but even a light breeze can add wind chill to the air making it feel even colder. Dress for the occasion if needing to be outside! Tonight lows will fall back to sub-zero readings and highs will again be in the teens for Wednesday with more sunshine in the forecast than today.
By Thursday and Friday, high temperatures will climb a bit but still look to stay below freezing. It’s not until the weekend that temperatures return to seasonable levels. The actual weather this week looks quiet with some cloudy days and some sunny ones. The weekend remains quiet and seasonable as the next chance for some active weather looks to be early next week. Too early to determine much, but some light snow could be possible on Monday. Stay tuned!
