The four Spaniards who play in the LIV Golf, the circuit banned for the world ranking, the main access route for the big tournaments so far, will finally be in the US Open, the third major of the season that begins this Thursday in Pinehurst 2 (North Carolina). Sergio García was the last to do so and will accompany Jon Rahm, Eugenio L�pez Chacarra and David Puig in this Major.
The golfer from Borriol, after losing in the tiebreaker, had been the first reserve in the Dallas classification -in which Chacarra won the ticket-, but the quota was not filled through other means, which allowed him to activate his trick. It will be the twenty-fifth US Open that Sergio has played, all consecutively, and the 97th major of his career, the best mark in the history of Spanish golf.
García finished fifth Sunday at the LIV Golf in Houston emitting good sensations and now he will have to fight with a route of which he has great memories, since he was third in the 2005 edition won by Michael Campbell, the New Zealander who has lived on the Costa del Sol for several years.
