Palestinian media reports suggest several people have been killed in further Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.

Five people were killed in the cities of Gaza and Beit Lahia in the north, and two more in Deir al-Balah in the centre of the coastal region, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Friday.

The agency also said that two Palestinians were killed near the city of Rafah in the south. The information could not be independently verified.

The Israeli military announced that it would continue to take action against militants in several areas in the Gaza Strip, including Beit Lahia and Rafah. According to information from the Gaza Strip, Israeli attacks repeatedly result in civilian casualties.

The Israeli military says it has also killed several members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) organization in the Gaza Strip, including a man who was allegedly responsible for the group’s rocket fire into Israeli territory.
