Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again addressed the people of Iran directly in a video, saying their leadership is wasting money with attacks on Israel that could be invested in their future.
Another Iranian attack would cost the country billions of dollars and cripple the economy, the Israeli prime minister said in a video message released on Tuesday.
“I know that you don’t want this war. I don’t want this war either. The people of Israel don’t want this war,” he said.
“There is one force putting your family in grave danger: The tyrants of Tehran. That’s it,” Netanyahu said, referring to the regime of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Instead of investing the $2.3 billion that the recent Iranian attack in early October cost in hospitals, the country’s infrastructure, clean water or the education of its people, Netanyahu stated that Tehran had squandered the money on a war it cannot win.
How much Israel had to pay for its attack on Iran was not disclosed by Netanyahu.
The regime obsesses “about destroying Israel, rather than about building Iran,” the Israeli prime minister continued, adding, “What a shame.”
He said that the Iranian regime was getting weaker every day, while Israel was getting stronger.
There is one thing the regime fears more than Israel, and that is the people of Iran, he said. “That is why they spend so much time and money to trying to crush your hopes and curb your dreams.”
Netanyahu urged Iranians not to give up their hopes for freedom and equality: “And know that Israel and others in the free world stand with you.”
“I have no doubt that one day in a free Iran, Israelis and Iranians will build together a future of prosperity and peace,” said Netanyahu. “That is the future Israel deserves; That is the future Iran deserves.
“Together, let us turn this beautiful dream into a reality.”
At the end of September, Netanyahu had already addressed the Iranian population directly in a speech.
