EAmerican Vic Seixasthe oldest living Grand Slam champion and first winner of the God’s Gonde Tournament (1953) died at 100 years old. Born in Philadelphia in 1923, he was a military pilot in World War II and, in his career as a tennis player, champion of Wimbledon (1953) e USA Internationals/US Open since 1968 (1954) beating the Danish Kurt in the respective finals Nielsen by 9-7, 6-3 and 6-4 and the Australian Rex Hartwig by 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 and 6-4. He was also an individual finalist for Roland Garros in 1953. In 1954 the specialist Lance Tingay, who carried out the unofficial rankings of amateur tennis (the time before 1968), placed him as number 1 in the world.

Sum� in total 15 t�tulos the Grand Slam, because he also won in doubles in the Australian Internments 1954, Roland Garros 1954 y 55 y USA Internationals 1952 and 54, and in mixed doubles Roland Garros (1953), Wimbledon (1953, 54, 55 y 56) e USA Internationals (1953, 54 and 55). He also won the Davis cup in 1954 and was included in the Tennis Hall of Fame in 1971. He remained active until 1970 and came to play in the US Open in 1969, at the age of 45.

In 1953 he inaugurated the Tournament record Count of God� beating the Argentine Enrique in the final more by 6-3, 6-4 and 22-20, winning the doubles final together. The following year he lost in the final against fellow American Tony Trabert by 6-0, 6-1 and 6-3, along with the one who also won in doubles.
