Russian Warlord Hates Elon Musk For Cybertruck Bricking

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has made himself yet another enemy, only this time instead of a politician or celebrity it’s a warlord in Russia. Ramzan Kadyrov took to social media to criticize Musk after he said the man remotely bricked his Cybertruck he had been using in combat missions.

A Cybertruck owner is baffled at how many people hate his ride.

Kadyrov famously mounted a 50-caliber machine gun to the bed of his Tesla, shocking and amusing people around the globe. As an ally of Valdimir Putin, this act angered many as Musk denied he had donated the all-electric pickup to the Chechen warlord.

But this sort of thing is par for the course for Kadyrov who loves using social media to post bombastic, ridiculous things for attention. The man behaves somewhat like a TikTok thirst trap girl, only with bloodthirsty troops at his command and a reputation for ruthless, crushing rule in Chechnya since 2007, which is an odd pairing.

According to Google Translate, this is what Kadyrov posted on Telegram:

“Elon Musk did something ugly.

He gives expensive gifts from the heart, and then turns them off remotely.

You probably remember his gift – a Cybertruck, which we equipped with a machine gun and sent to the Northern Military District. The vehicle coped well with combat missions. Demonstrated maneuverability and good crew protection. So, Musk recently disabled the Cybertruck remotely. This is not masculine. I had to tow the iron horse. How so, Elon? Is this how it’s done?”

Some have questioned whether Kadyrov actually used the Cybertruck in missions or if this is yet another one of his over-the-top stunts to get attention. After all, with the machine gun mounted and ammunition loaded, that would greatly increase the vehicle weight, dropping the range rapidly. In most combat zones there are few if any Tesla Superchargers.

The other big question is how the warlord even got a Cybertruck. Thanks to US sanctions, they can’t be sold in Russia, so that means a third party had to have sold the vehicle to Kadyrov. And that might be why it was bricked remotely, if the story is even true.

After all, when dealing with a Russian warlord, one has to expect deception layered with deception.
