The Israeli military on Tuesday confirmed that the last unaccounted for person from the October 7 attacks had died.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the family of Bilha Yinon, who had been officially listed as missing, had been informed that she was murdered in the massacres by Hamas militants and other extremists.

The IDF said that an extensive search had been carried out to locate her, but that forensic evidence found at her home ultimately proved that she had died.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the 76-year-old was murdered alongside her husband Yaakov on October 7.

Hamas militants used paragliders to invade the premises of the agricultural cooperative in southern Israel where Yinon lived with her husband. According to the Times of Israel, her house was burned down.

Some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were killed on October 7 while around 250 people were taken hostage and transferred to Gaza.
