Camouflaged Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Wing SpottedHyundai

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has proven to be an instant hit among car enthusiasts, quickly garnering rave reviews as one of the best performance EVs ever. The electric N pipeline is far from finished, however — and the smartest bet is that Hyundai’s next product will be an N car based on the Ioniq 6, like the RN22e concept (pictured above) the company showed in 2022. Now, thanks to an Instagram user in South Korea, we have a good sense of what an Ioniq 6 N is liable to look like.

The video shows a heavily camouflaged but still clearly recognizable Ioniq 6 rolling through traffic. Immediately, the shape of what appears to be either a rear wing or a duck tail spoiler sticks out. It appears huge by the standards of a road car — much larger than the typical duck tail on the rear hatch of an Ioniq 6. Based on the video, aero element should be smaller than the touring car-style rear wing on the back of the RN22e concept, but not by as much as you might expect.

The wrap does an effective job in hiding most of the other elements of the car, but the fenders seem wider. Split five-spoke wheels sit inside, much like the ones used on the RN22e. Perhaps most telling, there’s a pronounced side skirt accented in an orange-red shade, which has been a hallmark of every Hyundai N product to date.

Given that the Ioniq 5 N boasts 641 hp and the conventional Ioniq 5 and 6 share the same powerplants, the Ioniq 6 N will likely equal its hatchback’s power — so it should be a thrill. And the base Ioniq sedan is $4000 cheaper than the crossover, so hopefully the production Ioniq 6 N will come in under the Ioniq 5 N’s current $66,100 starting price.
