The Japanese Ayaka Furue led the tournament, with 12 under par and five holes to play. She is three strokes ahead of the second-place finishers, Stephanie Kyriacou and Haeran Ryu. Among the Spanish, only Marta Martín (-1, hole 9) has a chance of making the cut, since the others have dropped too far, and with the second round already over: Azahara Muñoz (+4), Ana Peláez (+5 ) and Carlota Ciganda (+8).
76 players will have to complete the second round this Saturday. The game will resume at 7:30 a.m. The cut will be made by the 65 best and tied. The third day is expected to begin at 10:45 a.m.
