Recoletas Burgos Caja Rural began its semifinal against El Salvador with firm steps. I�aki Mateu’s early try, together with the conversion and a hit achieved by Tom�s Carri�, allowed the locals to go into the break 10-0.
But as soon as the match resumed, a try by John Wessel Bel, converted by Santi Ortega, put the chamizos fully into the game. In the final minutes, Carri�’s foot again, which converted two other hits, gave air to the people of Burgos who saw how Fernando Romanos’ mark closed the final score at 16-12.
