The ITMF and IAF joint event organised in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association (Uztextileprom), is titled “Innovation, Cooperation & Regulation – Drivers of the Textile & Apparel Industry.”

The conference agenda will cover crucial topics shaping the industry’s future, such as artificial intelligence (AI), regulation, digitalisation, ESG, and supply chains. The event will also feature the ITMF Awards Session, recognising excellence in innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation.

The conference is expected to attract over 500 high-level representatives from various sectors of the industry. Participants will include delegates from international organisations, textile companies, brands, financial institutions, and retailers.

The conference is described as representing a unique opportunity for industry leaders to engage in dialogue and foster international cooperation, potentially shaping the future direction of the global textile and apparel sector.

Key speakers at the conference include Stephen Lamar, president of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), and Dirk Vantyghem, general director of the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX). Representatives from industry organisations such as Cotton Analytics (USA) and Indorama Corporation (Singapore) will also be present.

Uzbekistan historically central to the Silk Road, exported around $3.5bn in textiles to over 75 countries last year with plans to increase exports to $6.5bn by the end of 2026.

In July visitors of the upcoming 2024 conference were told to expect to hear from insiders of Spanish retail group Inditex, manufacturer Epic Group and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

“IAF, ITMF fashion conference in Uzbekistan to spotlight AI, ESG” was originally created and published by Just Style, a GlobalData owned brand.
