Novak Djokovic the record-breaking man in tennis, who this Monday lost the world number 1 in favor of Jannik Sinner, has also congratulated Carlos Alcaraz for achieving his first title at Roland Garros.
“A ‘Grand Slam’ on every surface, incredible work,” wrote the 24-time major champion on social media. Novak followed the final with his son Stefan on television.
The 37-year-old Serbian has confessed more than once that his eldest son is a fervent follower of the Murcian’s style of play. Djokovic and Carlitos will not be able to repeat the final of the last Wimbledon because Novak will be sidelined due to surgery on the meniscus in his knee.
They would not compete in a competition again until the Paris Olympic Games (July 27 to August 4).
